Hong Kong beat The Netherlands, 4-1, to record the second win in the consolation round. Hung Yik Shan went the distance allowing only one run on six hits and recorded the win.
Both teams scored in the first at bat, then Hong Kong added two in the bottom of the second against Loes Asmus and didn’t need to look back.
Dutch defense committed two errors in the frame, six in the game, and helped Hong Kong thrive. Left fielder NG Wing Hin led Hong Kong’s offense going 2 for 3.

Hunbg Yik Shan earned the second win for Hong Kong

Cuba erased a 4-1 deficit and beat Puerto Rico with a couple of rallies: three runs in the fifth and two runs in the seventh.
Cuba was outhit (8-6) by Puerto Rico, but played perfect defense, while the Boricuas committed three errors. Yordanka Rodriguez led Cuba offense going 2 for 2. Dianelis Porro left after allowing four earned runs. Mayumis Solano took over and earned the win going 5.1 innings.
Nylah Ramirez pitched a complete game for Puerto Rico but suffered the loss allowing six hits and four walks. Only four of the runs Cuba scored were earned.
Cuba improved to 3-2 and and finished second in the consolation round, eighth overall.

Australia scored three runs in the second, three in the third and went on to beat Korea, 7-1, and finish the consolation round with a clean record.
Sinead Flanigan went four innings and allowed only a run on three hits to grab the win. She then left the mound to Amy Collins and Maddison Tabrett.
Australia recorded nine hits, with Elodie O’Sullivan going 2 for 3 with a double and 2 RBIs.
